Art Festivals

Events take place at Tillett Gardens on St. Thomas in Tutu area across from the Four Winds Plaza. For the concerts there is a prix fixe dinner available starting at 6:30 pm.  Show time is 8pm. The Arts, Crafts & Music Festivals begin at 10:00 am and run to 5:00 pm.

ARTS ALIVE presents the Annual Holiday Arts,
Crafts and Music Festival

November 23rd, 24th & 25th from 10am to 5pm

The festival will boast the arts and crafts of more than 30 local artists and artisans.  On Friday and Saturday there will be live music, a silent auction, raffle and lots of free activities for the kids.  This year we are featuring the Kid’s Corner where children can create their own art and win prizes.  Sunday is art only all day! 

The Festival will feature some fantastic creations!

Fine artists include:  Lucinda O’Connell – Watercolor, Acrylic and Oil Paintings; Ahmed Al-Arefi – pastel portraits and Oil Paintings; Marilyn Fredericks – Watercolor Paintings; Aphrodite – Oil Paintings; Jaqueline Cawley – Oil Paintings, Watercolors and Acrylics; Frank & Sherry Sharpe – Pencil, Oils, Plaster; Anita de la Cruz – Oil Paintings, Batik and watercolors; Tillett Gallery – Silk Screen island maps

Jewelry makers include: Caribbean Glo – Handmade beaded jewelry,: Tiffany Miller – Beaded jewelry and accessories; Betsy Pfordresher-LaPlace – Original sterling silver and gold jewelry; Leah Norton – Wire wrapped jewelry; Lisa Nunes – Handcrafted beaded jewelry, Kirsten Brunn - Handmade semiprecious stone jewelry, Cindy born – Gold and Silver Jewelry made from black coral, sea glass, beads and gemstones; EmOcean – Ocean inspired art and jewelry; Staci Morgan – Custom beaded jewelry

Crafts include: Gwen Harley’s Historic dolls; Jason Budsan - Caribbean Herbals Candles & Soaps; Anne Marie Kissel - fabric arts & quilts; Mary Mercer – Handmade soaps and lotions; Cheryl’s Taste of Paradise – Homemade Sauces, Jerks and Jams; Barbara Mark – Afro centric creations; Dorothy Mercer – Handcrafted purses and guava berry liqueur, Holly Bowen – Macrame plant hangers; Cindy Male – Fiber Art; Mary Louise Lauffer – collages, prints & calabash crafts; Merry Phillips – Handmade Christmas ornaments; Linda Wilcox – Scented and beaded ornaments;  Laurie Hamilton – Fabric covers and beaded ornaments; DeLois Abraham – Handcrafted placemats

Food includes: Jack’s Restaurant – If you haven’t tried their wings, you don’t know Jack! Harriett Mercer – funnel cakes and local drinks, T&T Delight – fabulous frozen fruit drinks.

The Holiday festival is going to be a fun filled weekend with lots of free activities for the kids.  Kids will have a chance to create their own artwork and win prizes for their efforts in the Kid’s Corner on Friday & Saturday from 11am to 4pm.  We’ll have a clown providing balloon animals, face painting and temporary tattoos on Friday and Saturday from 1pm to 4pm.  Candle making demonstrations will take place at 2:15 Friday – Sunday.  Raku demonstrations will take place at 12pm Friday - Sunday.
