For those interested in local art, a highlight of the St. Thomas experience will be a visit to Tillett Gardens, a peaceful oasis which has become a marketplace for local art and crafts featuring permanent shops producing SILK SCREENED FABRICS, raku pottery, jewelry, candles, herbs, local crafts, and an ART GALLERY filled with the famous Tillett prints and maps, as well as water colors, oils and acrylics by local and Caribbean artists.

An integral part of the Garden is the performing arts and to fill in this picture, you will find two MUSIC studios featuring lessons in piano,violin and voice. An outdoor theatre, accommodating 300 people, combining seating in the Garden has a canopied stage housing a grand piano and the adjacent building houses a professional sound system. During the SEASON you can enjoy four classical concerts and four non classical concerts - all performed by top musicians from all over the world. This facility is also available for rent for local events. Along with this outdoor theatre is the newly renovated, completely air conditioned 200 seat PISTARKLE THEATRE nestled in the GARDEN next to the ART GALLERY. Here is you will find theatrical productions throughout the year and in between performances, the THEATRE is available for local and GROUP CONVENTIONS, MEETINGS AND EVENTS.

There is always a happening in Tillett Gardens, resident artists at work, lessons in the music studio SUMMER WORKSHOPS and CAMPS, special ART SHOWS in the galleries, FESTIVALS, CONCERTS and RECITALS.
